South Belfast Alliance MLA Anna Lo has expressed disgust at news that two pensioners were subjected to a robbery at the hands of thugs wielding a crowbar. The women were robbed at a home in
Anna Lo MLA said: "This incident was nothing short of despicable. This must have been an extremely frightening ordeal for these two women. It's very hard to understand how someone could put anyone through such a traumatic incident.
Robberies at the homes of older people are a genuine concern but I want to assure them that they are rare occurrence. People do however want to see every possible effort being made by police and other agencies to ensure they can feel safe in their homes. Anyone who has any information that could help police catch the perpetrators of this disgusting crime should come forward."
