Lo Proposes Race Relations Motion in the Northern Ireland Assembly

Anna Lo MLA has proposed a motion calling for a review of the current Race Relations Order for Northern Ireland because it does not afford people the same protection as they have in the rest of the UK or in Ireland. Speaking after the day's sitting in the Assembly, Anna Lo said;"It is crucial that Northern Ireland's diverse community is granted the same protection of rights and equality as exists in the rest of the UK. I am very pleased to have been able to propose this motion and hope that it will mark a progression in how we serve those members of our society who face discrimination."
