Lo condemns South Belfast attack on pensioners

South Belfast Alliance MLA Anna Lo has condemned those behind a burglary at a pensioners' home in Erinvale Gardens in Finaghy on Wednesday night, during which the couple were both struck on the head with a bat.
Anna Lo MLA said: "I am shocked at the despicable level of violence displayed during this burglary. It beggars belief to think that anyone could bring themselves to attack an elderly couple in their own home.
This is the latest in a series of burglaries at pensioners' homes across Northern Ireland, and this is an extremely disturbing trend. I am disgusted that pensioners' homes have been ruthlessly targeted in this cowardly way.
I would urge anybody who has any information about this incident to contact police immediately."
